Debra - HR/Office Manager

I obtained my education at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. It seems time has flown by over the years and it’s hard to believe that I’ve been in dentistry for almost 30 years. I have always had a passion for helping people and dentistry has proven it was the right field for me. What warms my heart the most, is that we treat our patients like family members at River Place Dental and both Dr. Heather Marks and Dr. Rollyn Lee are amazing dentists and just good people in general.

I married my college sweetheart and best friend, Mike. We have been married for a very long time. We’ve been truly blessed with three beautiful children; Michael, Suzanne and Kristina whom are all grown and have blessed us with being grandparents to 6 amazing, wonderful & talented grandchildren. I must include we’re also grandparents to 4 grand-dogs and 2 grand-cats, who are pretty great too.

Fun Fact: In the summer, I like to ride my Harley Davidson Street Guide anytime I get a chance and winter months I like to head to the Rockies for some downhill skiing. I don’t think I have a competitive bone in me…my husband begs to differ. “Hey, Let’s Line them up!! Ready, Set…GO!!” Giggle, Giggle 😊

Mary – Front Desk & Insurance Coord., IT

I have been with RPD for 19 years! The first 16 years I was at the front desk but as we’ve grown you probably don’t see me at the front as I’m in the back office concentrating on billing and insurance. I’m also the I.T. coordinator. I have been married for nearly 45 years, blessed with 2 sons, whom are grown men with families of they own. My husband, Bob, and I are also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. We love family our time! I enjoy the outdoors in the summertime and I have several hobbies that I truly enjoy. When I first started with RPD it felt a bit overwhelming but within a very short period, it all became very interesting to me and learning how dentistry has so much more to do with our whole body not just our mouth. I have met so many wonderful people over the years and developed some great relationships. It’s fun to see how a beautiful smile can have such a positive impact on a person.

Something many people don’t know about me: I am a living kidney donor and would do it again if I could!

Theresa – Front Office, Marketing

I’ve lived in the Amery area for the past several years. I’m married with one young son and a dog. We enjoy boating, camping, four wheeling, going on little day adventures, going to state parks, hiking, and fishing. Working at RPD brings me joy because I enjoy being able to serve in the community, I live in. I believe smiles are contagious and I love seeing people gain that confidence to smile again.

Fun Fact: My favorite color is yellow.

Maddy – Front Office, Scheduling

You’ve seen me here at RPD for over 2 years. I grew up in Amery and I currently still in live in the area with my husband, Alex, and puppy, Winston. In my free time I enjoy being outside as much as possible. We spend a lot of our time in the summer months on the boat, fishing, swimming or at a demolition derby.

Fun Fact: My favorite animals are cows. My dream is to own a miniature highlander someday.

Shawna – Front Office, Insurance

I have 3 children with another one on the way. I love to spend time outdoors and at my children’s sporting events. I enjoy working at RPD since I’ve always had in interest in healthcare. It’s rewarding getting to know people in the community better.

Jess – Hygienist/Hygiene Coord.

My husband, Joe, and I were married in 2011. Together we have 3 children. I have been in the dental field for about 15 years and a part of RPD for 7 years. This stage of life is spent tending to family with every ounce of my being! Working in this field allows me to help and comfort others in a setting that often make patients feel uneasy. The end to each day brings a sense of accomplishment and hearts content.

Something many don’t know about me is: That homeschooling is a new experience for our family.

Michelle - Hygienist

I am new to adapting to the empty nest phase of my life after my youngest of 3 children moved out this spring. My husband and I are enjoying our freedom when it come’s to cooking, going out, and boating. We have 3 dogs that keep life interesting. I love being a dental hygienist and getting to know my patients! There is nothing better than making a patient proud of their smile.

Fun Fact: I love tackling DIY projects in my free time.

Jamie - Hygienist

I live in Forest on a farm with my boyfriend, Brayden, and our dog, Reagan. We spend our free time with friends and family. We like to go camping in our vintage RV and go to car shows. I love to take care of my house plants, go antiquing, fishing at my Dad’s in Springbrook, reading, make mead, crocheting or going on any new adventures! I enjoy being in dentistry because I love to meet new people. I love having the opportunity to learn from patients about whatever knowledge they have to offer just as much as I like to teach them about oral health. I find it rewarding to explain confusing topics and procedures in a way they can understand and then see those same patients take my advice to improving their home care and complete treatment they need.

Fun Fact: If I was not in dentistry, I would open a shop and sell the hats I crochet, homemade wine, pottery, and antiques!

Brooke – Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant Coord.

I am happily married with 2 children, Luella and Hendrik. You can find us enjoying lake life in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. I love helping people and seeing the happiness a smile brings is so rewarding!

Something many people don’t know about me: I was a prom queen and Ms. Clear Lake back in the day!

Lys – Dental Assistant

I grew up in the cities in Minnesota. I have a baby boy named Warren. I enjoy going to the gym in my free time. I also like to spend time with friends and family. I like working at RPD to help patients improve their smile. I love ice cream! I have a mini blizzard almost daily.

Fun Fact: My favorite show to watch is the Bachelor/Bachelorette. I’ve been watching it since I was in 3rd grade.

Leah – Dental Assistant

My husband and I moved up here a couple years ago from Hudson. We love the smaller town vibe Amery has. We have a pet cat, a canary, a fish and 4 chickens. I enjoy biking, being outside, reading, crocheting, and gaming. I’ve been interested in teeth ever since I was little. I really enjoy helping people and learning new things about my patients.

Something many people don’t know about me: I eat a couple jars of pickles every week!

Elise – Dental Assistant

I am a silly, goof ball with a big mouth. I sing more than I talk. I love all things spooky and love for horror movies and true crime. I love working in dental to help put people at ease and I just love teeth. I was a receptionist at age 20 then worked my way up to a dental assistant and I love what I do!

A fun fact about me is I auditioned for American Idol three times! I didn’t make it past the first round but I loved the fun experience!

Kiara – Dental Hygiene Assistant

I live in Luck with my husband, Chase, along with 2 dogs Roxy and Penny. In my free time I like being on the family farm or any other outdoor activities. I love working in the dental field because I love to help others and meet new people.

Fun Fact: I also served in the Air National Guard.

Jerra - Insurance

I moved to Amery from California about 50 years ago. I’ve been married for 45 years. Together we have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. I worked in orthodontics for almost 25 years before coming to RPD. Now I spend my days taking care of my four dogs, reading, and being with my family. I love working at RPD because it enriches my life. I love to meet old and new smiling faces.

Something many people don’t know about me is I love The Price Is Right. I even attended a show back in the 70s!
